Quarterboards and More makes custom quarterboards (signs displaying boat's names), carved and hand-painted to order following New England sailing boat traditions.
We're Bob and Vicki Guth, a husband-wife team based in the Chattanooga, TN area, and we make and ship our custom signs around the world.
Early History
We first met during high school, and reunited after Bob returned from military service in Vietnam. Together, we went on a journey and strived for a fulfilling life. Bob worked in the hotel-restaurant industry while Vicki was in travel, and together, they raised two children and many (many) dogs, a cat, and, somewhere in there, a couple of birds and many goldfish.
Woodworking Throughout the Years
Over the decades, Bob has crafted a wide range of beautiful wooden products. Through the years of remodeling and raising kids and pets alike, Bob and Vicki have become a great team. Eventually, the two established Quarterboards and More. Bob takes care of the layout and carving, and Vicki handles the painting to make the items look beautiful.
Plans During Retirement
As they take their well-deserved retirement, the couple plans to spend more time doing the things they are passionate about—woodworking, gardening, and painting. Bob and Vicki also want to enjoy more moments with their two giant, goofy dogs, Boudreaux and Bella. These two pooches will surely be spoiled by their loving masters.
